Hello School Nurses,
Below is a message from a Research Scientist through Hasbro who is seeking our experience and thoughts on a very important issue. If you have time, please try to reach out. I did and found it to be a valuable experience.
I hope the start to the school year has been a good one for everyone. PLEASE register for the upcoming September 27 event! The education committee has been hard at work, and the program will be the first of its kind. We have partnered with the URI graduate nursing program to provide a quality nursing assessment (interactive) educational event.

We are the ED_REaCH program. Our program was developed out of Dr. Mary Kathryn Cancilliere's work with youth and families. Dr. Cancilliere is a pediatric psychologist at Brown University and Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI. We would like to request a brief 10 to 15 minute interview where we can ask for your perspective and experience working with youth who struggle with symptoms of suicidality and self-injurious behavior (SSIB), and also for your experience working with their caregivers. Our hope is that gathering different perspectives from different professionals, we will gain a more complete picture about the mental health system for these youth and their caregivers, especially about where in the system there are the most challenges and unmet needs. If you are willing to participate, please let us know by emailing Adrian at alopez23@brownhealth.org Then we will follow up and coordinate a time to meet over the phone.
