School Nurse of the Year Nomination

RI School Nurse of the Year 2023-2024

Annually, RICSNA publicly recognizes a Rhode Island school nurse who has demonstrated excellence in school nursing practice and leadership in school health.

Nominations are now being accepted. The deadline for nominations is 1/31/2024.

Eligibility:

To be an active member as defined in the RICSNA By-laws (amended 10/2023) . 

One (1) nominee from each NASN affiliate (RICSNA) will be selected and honored at the RICSNA Nurses Day celebration in May, and their name will be moved forward to NASN for recognition at the NASN annual conference in June.

Nominee must be:

  1. A registered professional nurse.
  2. A current ACTIVE member of RICSNA and NASN and has maintained membership for at least two years.
  3. Currently employed in a full-time position working as a school nurse in RI.

Nominations

The nominator does not need to be a RICSNA member but needs to have a direct working relationship with the candidate.

Before submission, the nominator must:

  1. Ensure the nominee accepts the nomination
  2. Inform the nominee they will be required to submit their current resume.
