This session has been approved for 2.0 CEU through the Center for Professional Practice and Innovation

At the conclusion of this session the school nurse will understand the incidence of sudden cardiac arrest as well as the importance of immediate recognition, beginning high quality CPR and administering prompt defibrillation to optimize chances of survival.  Participant school nurses will become familiar with resources to evaluate their home school’s preparedness for a sudden cardiac arrest and be provided a toolbox to develop, practice and implement a cardiac arrest action plan at their home school.
