My name is Amy Dark from the Glocester School Department and I am the RI Director to NASN. Because our state organization is unified with NASN you probably receive many communications from national, including a daily All Member Digest email and Journal of School Nursing periodicals with articles relevant to your practice. If ever you find these communications to be too much, there are boxes in your profile settings on NASN.org to “opt-out” of receiving certain emails.

They are meant to be resources, not to overwhelm your inbox. There is a wealth of information and FREE education opportunities to you as a NASN member at NASN.org. If you have ever considered attending the annual conference it is an incredibly personal and professional experience to meet school nurses from all 50 states and many other countries. Many school districts will cover all or some of the registration for this incredible education opportunity, imagine getting 2 years worth of CEU’s at 1 conference! This past July in Denver, Colorado Linda Mendonca, our state school nurse consultant, was inducted as NASN President-Elect.

Linda is going to serve as NASN President from 2021-2023 and will begin her presidency at the conclusion of the annual conference in Austin, Texas. Please consider planning to join us in June 2021 in Austin, Texas at the annual conference, or June 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
